First Week Success and Excitement

Play, Work or Dash has officially been open for one week… and what a week it has been!

I am incredibly proud of this place. We are building a community for parents seeking a productivity haven. A place to work while their kids are engaged and well cared for up to three hours per day. We are trying to meet a demand that is growing. As our economy is heading toward a flex working model, we want to provide a flex child care option.

This week I have met an incredible amount of people. Freelancers, entrepreneurs, contract workers, part-time work from home employees, students with kids, and parents simply looking for a way to get things done without interruption!

The first week has also been a social media firestorm for us. We have been shared and chatted about and shared again. This makes me feel honored! Our business has struck a nerve because so many can see the potential. Whether you need something like this on a regular basis, or just once in a while, it is obviously time.

Finally, this week has been amazing in terms of media attention. Check-out our Press Page to see where we are being featured. On Monday, we were written about on Coworkaholic. On Tuesday, Red Tricycle featured us and a camera crew from Maryland Public Television did an interview with us for a yet to be aired episode of Your Money and Business.

On Friday, Jan. 8, Fox 5 DC featured us on their morning news show. A few amazing local entrepreneurs brought their kids and used our shared office to show on camera how to use our services. This segment offers a wonderful peek into our location and visual example of how you could benefit from our offerings.

I can’t think of a better way to launch! Thank you doesn’t even feel like enough. I am truly grateful for all the support and love from so many in the community. This is just the beginning of what I hope will be a long and wonderful journey.

If you haven’t had the chance to visit in person, Book A Tour today and I will give you a free three-hour “work and play” pass.
